Company Histopatologia, a. s. provides for diagnostic activity within entire extent of the medicine specialization „Surgical Pathology“ to all healthcare facilities where biopsy and cytological material is taken in.
Advantage of company Histopatologia, a. s. refers to its contract relations with all Slovak health insurance companies.
Taking into account the company own rolling stock, the company is able to flexibly provide for transit and safe transport of biopsy and cytological material within entire territory of Slovakia.
Ability to deliver the diagnostic conclusions at the latest within 7 days from the assignment represents an important factor of the offered services. Considering a special SW, the contract partners of company Histopalogia, a.s., will be allowed to insight the final diagnostic reports prior to shipping in electronic form.
Special diagnostic activities of the workplace
Biopsy examinations
Complex bioptic diagnostics of neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases of oro-facial area, GIT, respiratory, uropoetic, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and neural system, liver, pancreas, breast, endocrine organs, soft tissues and skin.
Cytological examination
Cytological examination in the gynecological area (both oncology and functional diagnostics) and non-gynecological area
Immuno-histochemical and IF examinations
A wide range of immunohistochemical examinations provided through the method of immune complex of peroxidase – antiperoxidase and avidine-biotine immuno-enzymatic techniques. The antigens are completed according to updated information from the recent catalogues using both internal and external control and continuous control of preparations quality.
Examinations provided by direct and indirect immunofluorescent method including application of „salt split skin“ test at identified dermal blister diseases.
Genetic and molecular analyses
Application of genetic and molecular-biological analysis of bioptic material aimed to determine diagnostic, predictive and prognostic parameters, mainly in case of oncological diseases, or in complicated and demanding diagnostic cases.
Other
Detection of HER2 amplification through FISH and CISH, detection of HER2 polymorphism or breast cancer diagnostics.
Application of electron microscopy to differential diagnostics of rare neoplastic and non-neoplastic processes.
Frozen sections biopsy examinations
Of all organs and soft tissues taken off during surgery. The samples are processed in the modern cryostat HM525 with Peltier. The specimens are processed within 20 minutes in order to determine approximate diagnosis as soon as possible and to reduce diagnostic process and affect the surgery type and extent.
