Diagnostic activity of company Histopatologia
Company Histopatologia, a.s. provides for diagnostic activities within entire extent of the medicine specialization „Surgical Pathology“ to all healthcare facilities where biopsy and cytological material is taken. It has contract relations with all Slovak health insurance companies and routinely delivers the diagnostic reports at the latest in a week period.
Special diagnostic activities
· Complex bioptic diagnostics of neoplastic and non - neoplastic diseases of orofacial area, GIT, respiratory, uropoetic, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and neural system, liver, pancreas, breast, endocrine organs, soft tissues and skin.
· Cytological examination in the gynecological area (both oncology and functional diagnostics) and non-gynecological area
· A wide range of immunohistochemical examinations provided through the method of immune complex of peroxidase – antiperoxidase and avidine - biotine immuno - enzymatic techniques. The antigens are completed according to updated information from the recent catalogues using both internal and external control and continuous control of preparations quality.
· Examinations provided by direct and indirect immunofluorescent method including application of „salt split skin“ test at identified dermal blister diseases.
· Application of genetic and molecular - biological analysis of biopsic material aimed to determine diagnostic, predictive and prognosic parameters, mainly in case of oncological diseases, or in complicated and demanding diagnostic cases.
· Detection of HER2 amplification through FISH and CISH, detection of HER2 polymorphism at breast cancer diagnostics.
· Application of electron microscopy to differential diagnostics of rare neoplastic and non - neoplastic processes.
· Consultation and advisory activities provided to other laboratories.
